Training Philosophy
David’s training philosophy is simple: make it fun, fair, and compassionate. He believes in creating positive, trust-based relationships with dogs while also being clear and consistent. His goal is always to help both dogs and their humans succeed together—building confidence, calm, and connection through every session.
Inspiration
David’s lifelong love of animals began in childhood. From caring for stray cats, rabbits, and fish to working on farms with chickens and milking cows, animals have always been a central part of his life. His passion for dogs truly took shape while working in a doggy daycare, where his natural curiosity and empathy led him to pursue dog training professionally.
Professional Experience
David is a graduate of the Anthony Jerone Dog Training School and has years of hands-on experience in both group and one-on-one settings. He has conducted behavior evaluations, created custom training programs, and led puppy and board-and-train sessions. While he finds joy in all aspects of dog training, his focus is on companion dog training—helping dogs become calm, happy, and well-adjusted members of their families. David also enjoys scent work as a personal hobby and continues to explore various training styles and techniques to expand his skill set. His approach is practical, intuitive, and tailored to the unique needs of every dog and owner.
Training Focus
David specializes in everyday obedience, teaching dogs essential manners and helping owners build a peaceful home environment. He works on common behavior challenges like jumping, pulling, and overexcitement, with a strong emphasis on helping families understand how to live in harmony with their dogs. For David, it’s not just about what the trainer can do—it’s about empowering owners to carry those skills into daily life.
