Training Philosophy
Caroline's training philosophy is rooted in the Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive (LIMA) approach. She believes dogs learn best when they are willing, engaged participants in the training process, never through fear or intimidation. By focusing on trust, positive reinforcement, and clear communication, Caroline helps dogs build confidence while empowering owners to create lasting, meaningful relationships with their canine companions.
Inspiration
Caroline has dreamed of working with animals for as long as she can remember. As she began her career working with dogs, she found herself regularly helping owners navigate behavioral challenges and answering questions about their dogs’ behavior. Those experiences inspired her to pursue dog training, allowing her to help strengthen the bond between dogs and their owners through education, communication, and positive guidance.
Professional Experience
Caroline is trained in Pet First Aid and Canine Communication, with hands-on experience working with dogs in a variety of settings. She specializes in puppy development, socialization for dogs of all ages, canine good citizen preparation, and helping dogs feel comfortable in grooming environments. Her well-rounded background gives her a unique understanding of canine behavior and allows her to create positive, confidence-building experiences for every dog she works with. Caroline is also passionate about continuing her education and expanding her knowledge to better support dogs and their families.
Training Focus
Caroline has a special passion for helping puppies build strong foundations through early socialization, confidence building, and basic obedience. She also enjoys preparing dogs for the Canine Good Citizen program and helping them become calm, well-mannered companions in everyday life. More recently, she has developed a strong interest in desensitization and counter-conditioning, particularly for fearful dogs, helping them build confidence while creating positive associations with the world around them.
